I have two years of experience in marking university level and secondary level english as a foreign language, business correspondence, test preparation and academic writing online. 1.5 years of experience with public speaking preparation and delivery. including teaching teenagers in air force cadets, undergraduate students from the university of wollongong and undergraduate students from zhejiang normal university.
I plan my lessons according to an individual profile; customised specifically for that individual. I will begin planning and preparation with an initial meeting and preliminary assessment of the student's strengths and weaknesses. - The grading criteria is marked according to official test criteria such as IELTS, TOEFL or CEF - For academic writing and university level subjects, I assess and grade according to that students' university or a similar campus I am a firm believer in creative approaches, interdisciplinary approaches to solving problems. And getting the student to think critically using the Socrates dialetic method of questioning. This will include debate, presentation and essay writing task based learning & problem solving pedagogy. For language teaching. I plan according to task based learning, PPP - Present, Restricted Practice and Free Practice, the communicative method, Michael Lewis' lexical approach combined with Socio Functional Linguistic approaches to functional grammar. My activities tend to revolve around intensive reading, extensive role playing and test - re-test methodology.
