Originally from the US, I have spent the past 15 years in international education. After working in New York City and Brussels, I moved to Singapore to work at UWCSEA and then worked at Chinese International School in Hong Kong.

My goal is to make learning relevant, personal, and enjoyable. I incorporate a range of high-interest literary texts (short stories, excerpts from novels, poems, etc.) and visual texts (Pixar short films, advertisements, comics, etc.) to engage students. I'm also a huge proponent of developing a regular reading habit. Not only is this a way to awaken a student's curiosity, it also helps them distinguish themselves in class and the University application process. Read less
