The key to learning is momentum. By performing smaller examples and building upon concrete patterns, the student is able to grasp larger ideas. In this way, a grounded, yet comprehensive view of the subject is achieved in a natural fashion. By discovery of the theory and principle through example and query, learning becomes a fluid and eager experience in which the student can't help but to work more diligently toward his or her goals. This is why I focus on teaching theory, but with heavy emphasis on examples and practice.
