Bachelors in Sports and Health + Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession (Grad. in 2018)
Ii have been living and working as an english teacher in bangkok for over 7 years now. my main job was at the demonstration school of suan sunandha rajabhat university (english program). on top of that i tutored evening- and weekend classes at a private language school where my main focus was teaching general- and business english mainly for university students and adults. i have also had a lot of private students that i have taught for special purposes, such as ielts, toeic, and toefl. last but not least i have tutored a few english courses at kasetsart university for the bachelor-, master-, and ph.d. students at the faculty of science (zoology). i have now moved to khon kaen with my family where i have started to work for the demonstration school kku international division. i now am looking for private students/groups that i can teach after business hours on the weekdays and maybe even sometimes on the weekends.
My style to teach is based on an active style which encourages students to participate and actually practice whatever it is I am teaching. In my opinion the biggest obsticle for Thai students to learn English is their lack of confidence. I want to change that. I do so by having a lot of role plays in my teachings where the point is to simulate a real life situation and then give feedback based on the performance. I think that it is also very important to have fun and enjoy the class so I put a lot of effort in making my students feel good and happy during my classes. I also use some outsourced materials which I have found very useful during my years as a language instructor. I usually go through up to date topics and news about what's happening in the world on a global scale. To mention a few example topics like Global warming, Trump as president, Social media, Mee too campain, are just a few examples of topics that I have covered in the recent weeks. When I use outsourced material I always do the lesson with my students and make sure that everything is understood before we continue to the next exercise. Key words that describes my teaching style: Active, Encouraging, Fun, Learning, Doing, Music, Vocabulary, Conversation, Listening, Teamwork.
I teach english, information technology, english business communication. i also provide training on ielts, toeic, toefl.
I focus on communication skills as a means to acquire both vocabulary and grammar in context thereby improving the retention of language learned. This follows cutting edge methodologies which have been proven to accelerate students' language acquisition in addition to the amount of time this language remains accessible to students even when their English language practice becomes idle through lack of use. The most simple example of this is TPR - Total Physical Response - which internalises language learned. More advanced methodologies include task-based learning and The Lexical Approach
